Hi guys! Today is the metal day. Excuse me, non-metalheads 🙂 Here is the Under Victoria — a one-man black metal project from Melbourne, Australia, and the song “Summoning III”. let’s check it!
First of all, I’d like to say that the track sounds dirty and noisy. This is one of the aspects why I like it, to be honest. It sounds like raw stuff…it’s definitely alive music! The overall impression from the composition is like being on a rehearsal of a band in their garage (which is wonderful in my opinion). I really like when the music sounds like this. It’s not overcooked, not sterile modern metal stuff. As I said before, it’s true and raw black metal stuff. I like the fact that people are able to create stuff like this.
I’ll be honest, I can’t recognize all lyrics in the mix. But the vocal manner perfectly sits in the mix and makes the song sound even more aggressive and heavy. Anyways, I am pretty sure that the lyrics are not about a walk by the river on the evening of a warm summer day 🙂
I’d like to notice also the arrangement of the track. It’s not boring (as it might be in black metal). Each part of the song has its own personality. From slower, and more melodic parts to absolutely crazy blastbeat, and harsh screams. Wonderful work! Enjoy the music and stand with Ukraine! Peace.
