Hi guys! I have a fresh composition for you. I think this one has pretty night vibes. Recently I already posted this artist here btw, check out this link: Sólstrauman – Vinterelva. This time here is her fresh song called “Kvitevind”. Let’s check it out together!
I can say that this song sounds like a slow immersion into the deep (even bottomless) cold water. The ambient / drone / electronic arrangement creates a stable and deep cinematic background for the emotional vocal part. That voice makes me feel comfortable in the darkness of this song.
Of course, it’s all only my subjective perception. Maybe this stuff sounds light and fun for somebody. But I strongly feel that deep, almost existential sadness in this track. I don’t even need to read the lyrics to understand it with each cell of my body. Just a wonderful work in my opinion. Totally love it,
A bit more info about the track:
“Kvitevind” is the title track of Sólstrauman’s upcoming debut album, and a collaboration with artist/producer Signe Dø on production and arrangement. The ambient alt-pop track is melancholic, atmospheric and ethereal. Sólstrauman’s dream-like voice is accompanied by organic soundscapes, ambient guitars and clarinets, celestial vocal harmonies and a subtle, smoldering kick drum beat. The title translates to ‘white wind’, sending the listener on a aerial journey through cold, cloudy landscapes.
Well, that’s all for this point 🙂 Thanks for listening / reading. Enjoy the music and stand with Ukraine! Peace <3
LYRICS
I can't fly when I'm homelessly bound to the roots of a tree that is grounded the wind is white the wind is white homelessly bound to the roots of a tree that is grounded I long for white wind though I am grounded I still yearn to breathe your presence gracefully bound to the roots of a tree that is grounded I too am grounded and the wind is white and the wind is white I can't fly when I'm homelessly bound to the roots of a tree grounded homelessly bound to the roots of a tree that is grounded I long for white wind though I am grounded I still yearn to breathe your presence gracefully bound to the roots of a tree that is grounded I too am grounded and the wind is white without my home to whom I am bound I can't fly gracefully grounded home I fly with Kvitevind
