Hi, guys! For a long time, I didn’t post here any alternative rock / indie rock music. But today I am here with one very beautiful song in that style. Here is the track “Beliefs”, by the alternative rock band Antelope, from Essex, United Kingdom. Let’s check it!
I don’t know why but the overall vibe of the song (especially the verse parts) reminds me of The Police mixed with something from the 2010’s like I Am Giant…which is very nice to me. Almost all modern indie music sounds overcooked and too pop-ish. But this song sounds perfectly balanced to me. It has some catchy hooks but still has that warm rock shade.
The track “Beliefs” stands out with its deep lyrics and catchy melodies, creating a captivating listening experience. The song’s introspective lyrics explore themes of personal growth and self-discovery (I guess). Complemented by a beautiful arrangement that enhances its emotional depth. The pleasant vocal timbre adds a layer of sincerity, making the track feel familiar and deeply resonant.
The thoughtful composition creates a soundscape that is both refreshing and nostalgic. The song’s chorus, with its empowering message of resilience and self-reinvention, is particularly compelling.
As Usual, thank you all very much 🙂 I hope this song will make your day a bit better! Enjoy the music and stand with Ukraine! Peace <3
Lyrics:
I’ve forgotten how to talk about The pictures I keep On display inside my head I’ve been stifling the very things That make me happy There’s what I meant and what I said I am sorry your philosophy does nothing for me Does that mean that I’m so wrong Now I look at you with brand new eyes and brand new beliefs The boy I was before is gone Be strong my friend This will all work out in the end Don’t hold so tight The story is yours to rewrite Watch you weaponise your own disguise As someone caring You only care for when I fall There’s no compromise or patience in The words you’re sharing No humanity at all I know you might Confront me In the cold light Of the country And teach me to not think for myself But we don’t need To agree I’ll correct you In a daydream Wipe the slate clean for the sake of our health Be strong my friend This will all work out in the end Don’t hold so tight The story is yours to rewrite
