Hello, guys!
This new EP “Trumpet Time” — is three tracks in styles of dark ambient, downtempo, and acid jazz, which are connected with each other by the one main thing — sounds of the trumpet.
I love to work with live instruments! It’s always leading to something fresh and interesting to dive into. This release was inspired by the velvet sounds of the trumpet. My good friend and bandmate of the NUG band, Yura Dubrovskyi, kindly answered my call for help and we recorded a bunch of his trumpet improvisations.
I came home with a pack of freshly-recorded samples and some blurry ideas of what I’d like to make out of those sounds…but when I started experiments with the sound, all three tracks literally appeared from nowhere in a few hours. Actually, the whole concept of the EP born immediately after I opened my DAW. Enjoy <3
