Good morning 🙂 My new EP “Three States” is out now! In this release I used beats. First of all, just to make the music a bit more dynamic and structured. But one track still keeps the dark ambient atmosphere. In the end, that’s the roots of 58918012.
“Three States” EP is a metaphor of human states. Sometimes we’re solid, sometimes liquid, sometimes gas. For sure, it depends on the many outer and inner factors. In any case, I’ve tried to project my understanding of those feelings into the music. Somebody may not agree with me, ’cause that’s a pretty subjective thing, so I just want you to listen to it as a piece of music, without linkback to my own experience.
Solid — is a dark ambient track. With the traditional drone and lush pads. It also has kinda impulses in the dark space, just to keep the listener’s attention inside the track.
Liquid — stylistically it’s close to the dub techno. But also it contains ambient music influences. The mood and atmosphere are a bit lighter than in “Solid”, but still not very light.
Gas — is the airiest track in this release. Trip-hop is the most visible genre in this composition. Carefree whistling of the melody was my choice to bring the melody into the track. I’ve tried a bunch of different synths and approaches, but this one is the best to show the gas state in my opinion.
