Hey! What’s up? Are you ready for a portion of fresh music? Okay, let’s go! Here is zkennedy — an alternative music artist from Houston, Texas, US, and the track “Trash the Room”.
Even though on all his tracks on Soundcloud I see tags “r&b and soul” and “alternative”, I’d like to say that this is trip-hop music with light indie and electronica shades. It’s my subjective opinion, but I will let the author’s opinion be main, so let it be “r&b and soul” 🙂 At the end of the day, genres and tags are not the points, you can say it’s grindcore or techno, and it’s still will be good music.
The repetitive beat and bassline make my head move back and forth. Cosmic synths are adding some deep atmosphere to the track. The vocal part starts with some kind of rapping / spoken words, and I didn’t expect to hear so goddamn catchy chorus, to be honest. But that chorus melody just drilled my brain and now I can’t rid of it (actually, don’t even want to). What can I say? It’s a beautiful and pleasant song in any case. Enjoy <3
