Hi, friends! It’s Saturday. I love Saturdays. Especially, when the day starts with wonderful ambient music 🙂 So, today here is Saapato — ambient music artist from New York, United States, and his fresh composition called “Fool’s Empyrean”. Let’s dive right in!
The track makes me feel calm and comfortable literally from the very first seconds. It’s like a walk in the morning foggy forest, while the first rays of the sun dance on the yellow leaves and try to beat the fog by their soft warmth. Wonderful feeling and an amazing mood. I love ambient music, especially if it makes me think and turns on my imagination. Actually, in my opinion, this is the main task of music like this — to swallow the feelings of the author and to transform them into the feelings of the listener.
Almost 10 minutes of amazing drone / ambient music it’s even better than a cup of coffee in the morning. At least, it won’t pump up your blood pressure 🙂

Fool’s Empyrean is a song that seeks to depict a series of intangible yet intimately personal psychic spaces that we all have inside our heads; foggy rooms from our childhoods, familiar smells, mis-rememberings, dreams, seasons, and routines all blurring together to become our own continuous mental perception of “now.” This song was a meditative fixation for me. I would go deep mixing, augmenting field recordings and blending sounds for days on end and then completely forget about them for weeks. The song changed like the rest of us did across two years, hanging onto pieces of the past and abandoning others. I wanted this song to speak in piecemeal sensory memories – familiarity so close you can almost taste it, yet remaining just out of reach. Half above, half below the surface of consciousness, like some existential crocodilian. This is what inspired the name, Somewhere Else. This song (I hope) sound like places you’ve never been but are eerily comforting, even if you’re not totally sure how or why.
