Hi guys! As usual, I am here to share some fresh and good sounding music. This time here is Oceans — a post-rock / shoegaze / alternative music project by Thomas Lee from Melbourne, Australia, and his fresh song called “Amour”. Let’s dive right in!
First of all, just to let you know. This song was co-written via a Shoegaze forum where Wilt (UK) & Oceans (AU) decided to join up to make a shoegaze record over the covid-19 lockdowns.
To be honest, I am not a big fan of post-rock-ish music…but this track is wonderful! Incredibly atmospheric and deep. I dig this simple harmony and melody mixed with distorted guitars. Perfect stuff to turn off your brain after a hard work day and relax a little. I’ve listened to it already 10 times I suppose, and I am still not bored of it (this is a very important “metric” for me because I like to listen to one track on repeat time and time again).
I don’t even know if somebody besides me knows the band called Shamrain. But for some reason, the overall vibe and atmosphere of the song remind me of this band (album “Empty World Excursion” to be precise). Yes, they’re pretty different…but it’s working for me this way for some reason 🙂 In any case, if you like this certain track then you will like other his music (check out Spotify or Bandcamp link below the post).
