Hello, guys! One of my biggest fears is tooth pain. I mean, not even the pain itself, but the dentist appointment (especially the painkiller injection). Don’t ask me…I have no idea why. But today here is the track which is soundtrack for my today’s tooth pain (in a good way). Of course, it’s just a coincidense. Here is James Sanger — experimental / ambient music artist from London, United Kingdom, and his fresh composition called “A Newer Doom Shine”. Let’s check it!
First of all, I am in love with this dark drone background with those weird and slightly scary sound effects. Wonderful atmosphere aout there. And when the vocal comes in, it makes the track even deeper and more atmospheric. Even though the vocal part is more like one more melodic instrument in the track rather than a solo vocal part as in regular songs.
The track is very slowly builds up from the incredibly soft and quiet beginning, to the wide and loud culmination with the vocals and electric guitars. Really beautiful work with interesting compositional approach and monotone melodic vibe. To be honest, I don’t know why I like music like this so much. Maybe because I do something like this by myself…maybe it just resonates with my inner state. Who knows… in any case, this is really strong work.
