Hi guys! Techno music definitely occupies a very special place in my heart, no questions. From the first time when I heard its robotic, hypnotic, but a the same time alive sounds. Probably that’s the reason why techno music rarely appears here (because I am incredibly picky). Anyways, today here is Frank Funke — electronic music producer from, Germany (which is not a surprise…Berlin is a cradle of techno music, at least, one of them), and the track is called “Bellboy”. Let’s check it!
This is not that sweet / soft melodic techno that a superstar DJ plays somewhere on the beach during the sunset, rounded with girls in bikini. This is fucking true techno shit! Hypnotic, robotic, with industrial taste, and when I hear this stuff, I can only imagine a huge basement or hangar full of people. No epic laser shows, just smoke machines, strobe, and people that are moving like one alive organism. Honestly, I have no idea what more can I say about it. It’s just a gorgeous release!

Bellboy is the first track in Frank Funke’s “47 Boy” series, a late but true “coming of age”series. A constantly roaring, belly, analog snare sound caries through the track with its driving, overdriven drum machine beat. Housey sounding chord stabs soaked in reverb and a washed synth sound add to the old school vibe of the track. Like the other upcoming 47 Boy tracks, Bellboy is centered around a raw machine jam with very scarce editing.
