Hi, guys! Honestly, I was somewhere away from myself lately. I have a lot of changes going on in my life, and some of them are too hard to accept. Anyway, life goes on, so the music should be here as well. I don’t let this blog die Today, here is the track called “Closing skies [Kryptofarmaka remix]”, by the trip-hop music project Aery, from Stockholm, Sweden. Let’s check it out together!

My first impression is that the song took my soul and put it into another dimension. I literally forgot about all my problems while listening to these distorted and warm soundwaves. I didn’t even want to hear the words of the song…I just wanted to float somewhere in between reality and that magical world of sound.

It’s a captivating blend of trip-hop atmosphere and experimental textures. The production feels simultaneously warm and hazy, with a soft layer of distortion that adds grit without overshadowing the song’s delicate mood. The airy vocal delivery floats above the soundscape, delivering poetic, almost dreamlike lines that invite deep reflection. It’s a track that balances intimacy and abstraction, pulling the listener into its own gently distorted world.

The lyrics read like fragments of thoughts caught between memory and dream. Vague yet evocative, leaving space for the listener’s own interpretations.

A bit more info about the project:

Aery is an electro duo consisting of the artists Mi von Ahn and Joel Gabrielsson who releases their debut single Sick Heart on April 19.

Aery’s experimental electronic indie has been created remotely, as the duo are based in different parts of Sweden. Through the process, projects have been sent back and forth between Umeå and Uppsala, and resulted in a unique aesthetic expression where a suggestive soundscape meets experimental beats and clear melodies.

The distance work has also made it possible to follow the duo’s vision of letting the music develop in its own direction throughout the process. They have used a wide range of different influences, and the music is inspired by everything from chamber music to 90s trip hop.

Aery could either be described as a compromise or an embrace of what lies right in the middle of the duo’s own artist careers.

As usual, I am thankful to everyone who listens to music here with me. See you next time Stand with Ukraine! Peace <3

Lyrics:

slow to move
closing skies
forests and
empty fields
nowhere stranger
hidden in parts
where is my mouth
to speak is my mind ideal
Are my words too soft ?
do i feel at all?
And every tongue that speaks
sunlight fights
