A wonderful song by Temple Haze.
Artist about the track:
I wanted this album to be a journey through different worlds and that included going deep into electronica. I began producing this song around the time of Pace Yourself, experimenting with many old synths and sampling techniques. Over the next 2 years I added and subtracted bits and pieces here and there to bring it to the special feeling it has today.
LYRICS:
Gold dream soliloquy Built deep inside what’s seen I tried to be faithful Not in a classic sense But, faith without evidence is Overused Trucks are driving down my window open You know how it feels cynical, it’s The syndicate of all that’s real Said your body won’t give you up Sensing limitations in our trust Said your body won’t give you up Sensing limitations in our trust (Trust, oh) (Sensin’, oh, trust) Trust, oh trust it, oh trust it Limitation won’t give you up (Oh, trust, oh) There’s a blank white page and all we got are questions An inborn range passed down from our ancestors We strive on hard to be the better man Before times gone so we can understand There’s a blank white page and all we got are questions An inborn range passed down from our ancestors We strive on hard to be the better man Before times gone so we can understand Said your body won’t give you up Sensing limitations in our trust Said your body won’t give you up Sensing limitations in our trust (trust, sensin’, oh)
