Tara Carosielli – Cry Baby

Beautiful song by Tara Carosielli.

Artist about the track:

Cry Baby’ is written about somebody who I met and was completely in awe of… somebody who only reciprocated that same energy if we were in the same room. I had to train myself to be less soft with him, and so I wrote this song when I was fed up. It was the first step in taking my power and my adoration back.

LYRICS:

Verse 1:
Do you hate that you brought out my wild side?
You were a clown in the club making me cry
Tried to be like the girl you said you like.
Did you tell them the secrets I told you?
Telling things that you knew that were untrue
Fixing up my mascara in the bathroom.
Cry, cry baby, cry, cry, cry

Chorus:
I tried to make a boyfriend of you
We were better when we acted cool
I tried to see the better in you
But I was just a fool.
I tried to make a boyfriend of you
We were better when we acted cool
Thought it was passion when we argued
But I was just a fool.

Verse 2:
Did you think you could ghost and then haunt me?
Still I hate all the ways that you taunt me
Was it you or the drugs you were smoking.
Said you wanted to see me on Tuesday
But I knew it was already too late
Now you’re with her and I hope that she makes you
Cry, cry baby, cry, cry, cry

Chorus:
I tried to make a boyfriend of you
We were better when we acted cool
I tried to see the better in you
But I was just a fool.
I tried to make a boyfriend of you
We were better when we acted cool
Thought it was passion when we argued
But I was just a fool.

Middle 8:
You want what you can’t have
You take and you can’t do that
Just give me my shit back
You’re such a cry, cry baby, cry, cry, cry
You want what you can’t have
You’re fake and you can’t be that
Just give me my shit back
You’re such a cry, cry baby, cry, cry, cry

Chorus:
I tried to make a boyfriend of you
We were better when we acted cool
I tried to see the better in you
But I was just a fool.
I tried to make a boyfriend of you
We were better when we acted cool
Thought it was passion when we argued
But I was just a fool. x2
