Beautiful acoustic song by Luke De-Sciscio
Artist about the track:
The double A-side ‘Stillness Beneath All Things/A Pool Beneath The Stars’.
These two songs form the flagship moment on an album that is every bit as Sublime as it’s name would demand. An album that, when I first heard the Vinyl Moon pressing on glorious ‘translucent heaven’ vinyl, I had the sobering experience, an experience that lifted me from my own egoic connection to the music and shook me with the realisation that: for whatever reason, however it came to be, these songs have arrived through me. And it is therefore my divine responsibility to believe in them as much as I presently do.
LYRICS:
Love is not a distance a forgiving or a bride it's a dress you slip inside and flaunt amongst the angels and fall for like a fool when you catch a glimpse of your reflection in their eye as a pool beneath the stars reflects the heavens in your mind is a pool beneath the stars and as a pool beneath the stars reflects the heavens so in your mind you know how eyes creep up and find one another like two coins in a bowl you know how love divides without halving as between two souls you know the distance is the asking like a flock that from slaughter grows as well that deepens as it drains taking the empty hand as a pool beneath the stars reflects the heavens in your mind is a pool beneath the stars as a pool beneath the stars reflects the heavens so in your mind so in your mind it's all in your mind
