Koob Dele – Jungle

Wonderful track by Koob Dele

Artist about the track:

This is my first-ever solo single. The song has multiple “layers” so to say. The first one is just describing the scariness of the jungle (which is massive 🙂 If we look deeper, it is sung from the side of a spirit, who is challenging a youngling entering the jungle. Like let’s see how long you will last. The even deeper level is that Jungle is actually the adulthood. And you enter it happily and confidently. You feel equipped and ready and then you find out that the reality is not what you’ve been drawing to yourself in your imagination. I can go on for days, that the forth level is actually me being in conflict with myself and with my insecurities and my infantile part, rejecting and then accepting it, but I don’t think you want to read a four-page essay here 🙂

LYRICS:

Oh...we're entering the jungle so you better keep quiet kid
You heard that? Mamba waiting under your feet
You well equipped
Looking tough
In your brand new boots
You confident
You do the one-two-three steps
And here it begins
Mm-m
And here it begins
[VERSE 2]
So you wonderin' now, why have you left your home
Your door locks, woolen blankets, and mama asking
Would you eat more?
You
Wanted adventure
Step outta your zone
So you better shut up and keep
Moving on
Moving on
[VERSE 3]
Ohh k-k-kiddo, sweep off raccoons from your hairdo
How has it come that far
Tracery of fresh scars
Don't you leave ajar your heart
Till you armor-plate your skin
With the shell you will
Live in
[VERSE 4]
Pull yourself together kid
You're in the beпinning of the way
You don't have to be a warrior
If you wanna write your own scenario
So don't you listen to the little voice
In your ears
Urging you to come around
Zooming in your fears
Telling you to go home (Go home)
Telling you to bear no more (You bear no more)
Telling you to go home (Go home)
Telling you to bear no more (You bear no more)
Telling you to go home (Go go home)
Telling you to bear no more (You bear no more)
Telling
You you have to go home
Telling
You you have to go home
