Beautiful song by Howard
Artist about the track:
“Thematically, it’s about the struggle I had at an age when I decided to drop out of medical school and pursue a career in music. I wrote the song out in nature on top of a mountain and while looking out I felt paralyzed by my fear of this decision. The noise in my head was constantly running and inhibiting my ability to move forward with my life. Looking back, this song feels like a call to prayer hoping I wasn’t making the wrong decision.” – Howard Feibusch
Old Mountain Boy You hold it inside your mind You call out to God Instead of a washed out life And oh my You hide from the lime-light Turn down all your noise Old Mountain Boy you danced on the highway You blew to the wind and sailed from your home place He'll settle down before too long And oh my You hide from the lime-light Turn down all your noise. Turn down all your noise.
