Dyatlove – Old Haunts

One more massive post-metal song by Dyatlove

Artist about the track:

This is the closer to our debut EP. It is essentially 3 parts, going from heavy to pretty. There is a trumpet solo added to the end. This is by far my favourite song off the EP and shows a different take on structure.

LYRICS:

There's a dead girl
Standing at the edge of my bed
There's a junkies hand
Reaching up from beneath where I rest my head
Covered in dirty chips
I wake up, shaking, drowning in cold sweat
I don't want to be scared
I don't want to be scared, is there anybody out there

I've allowed myself to become so vulnerable
I'll let these tears fall free

No I'm not scared

No I'm not scared

No I'm not scared

I've allowed myself to become
A stronger man to carry on
I'm no longer scared

I'm no longer scared

This is where we part ways
Farewell my old haunts
This is where we part ways
Farewell my old haunts
