Bronze Whale – St. Lynn

Fresh beautiful track by Bronze Whale

Artist about the track:

Aaron had started writing this instrumental during solo sessions in Sacramento, CA. At the time, Aaron was heavily focusing on writing material devoid of constraints and practicing stepping outside of self imposed requirements. I (Benny) was listening to the demo on repeat as I headed to Denver, CO for the opening of the new Meow Wolf art installation in September of this last year. Aarons style of writing this song paired so perfectly with spending time with this creator community celebrating all this hard work they had done on this massive project. I wanted to write vocals to honor that time and reflect on how this community came together. It was about experiencing new moments in life through new perspectives and with new friends. I spent several weeks in Sacramento wrapping this one with Aaron, and we’re really happy with it. It feels like summertime to us. We hope you dig it and as always we super appreciate you listening.

LYRICS:

Tell me tell me
So tell me is it easy to get whole
I'm feeling myself feeling myself
Wondering if I should do more
Probably stay up and sleep til noon but
I'll just play by ear
Everyone's still here
When inhibitions clear it's nights like these
And I've been floating inches off the floor
Reminded why we live for something more
But that's just who we are
Not living for tomorrow
Just wish we could coast a little
And tell me did you feel that
Did you grow
Threw a couple cups back
And just glow
Tell me would you come round
Are you sold
Made a couple new friends
Feel like old
And I know when you're near
These hazy nights feel clear
We're just searching for the middle
Hmm forgot the lyrics
Oooh Ooooh
Everyone is gold
Never want to go
And I've been floating inches off the floor
Reminded why we live for something more
But that's just who we are
Not living for tomorrow
Just wish we could coast a little
And I've been floating inches off the floor
Reminded why we live for something more
But that's how we are
Not living for tomorrow
Just wish we could coast a little
