Hi there! For a long time I’ve been (and still) very busy. But this track really touched my heart. I just love underground electronic / techno very much. So, I decided to share this one with you. Here is the track “Haunt”, by the electronic music artist from Denver, US — Entrancer (aka Ryan McRyhew). Let’s check it out together!
Entrancer delivers a deeply immersive sound in “Haunt”. This track is a masterclass in underground techno, at least in my subjective opinion. You can hear the blend of hypnotic textures and almost cinematic sound design. From the very first seconds, it pulls the listener into a dark, atmospheric world, filled with dark drones, pulsating rhythms, and ghostly echoes. The track’s slow, deliberate tempo may be unconventional for “standard” techno, but it adds a unique intensity, making every element feel more pronounced and immersive.
It is a long journey (over 9 minutes) that continuously evolves, avoiding any sense of repetition or monotony. The track morphs organically, with layers of sound, shifting percussive elements, and a tiny crisps of melodic fragments. A perfect balance between tension and release moments. The track is like hypnosis to me. Must-hear for fans of dark, experimental electronic music.
A few more words from the author:
Rit is a techno record at its core. The album takes a deep dive into textures that shape rhythm, working with raw electronic sound from analog synths and shaping them into pattern and form.
Equally inspired by the early collage techniques of formative industrial groups (Throbbing Gristle, Nurse With Wound) and the experimental minimal techno released by Chain Reaction and Basic Channel in the 90’s.
As usual. I am really thankful to everyone who digging through the musical depths with me 🙂 Enjoy the music and stand with Ukraine! Peace <3
