Hi, guys! Even though I didn’t post anything for some time, I am alive and well, and I am back here with fresh music for your ears and souls đŸ™‚ Today here is the song called “politics here is death” by an indie rock artist from the United States — Hayboy. Let’s check it together!
First of all, the song is incredibly atmospheric and wide. I really like the depths of the arrangement and the overall sound of the mix. Of course, from the musical perspective, it also sounds great to me. It reminds me of Pink Floyd (at the calm verse parts), and Brett Anderson’s “Back To You”, when the vocal melody goes up (chorus). The track definitely made today’s morning!
A seamless blend of indie rock and slowcore with some light psychedelic / progressive rock shades, this song takes a calm yet emotionally rich approach to storytelling. It captures the essence of introspection and quiet rebellion. The melancholic mood, paired with thoughtful lyrics, creates a space where the listener can get lost in the atmosphere.
The song’s production is striking in its subtlety, offering layers of lush harmony and a melody that lingers long after the track ends. The instrumentation feels intentionally restrained, allowing the vocals to shine as they navigate themes of disillusionment and searching for clarity. The lyrics, filled with poetic imagery and introspection, evoke a sense of existential questioning. Lines like “Politics here is death / Everything’s a boiling mess” highlight the artist’s reflective and poignant take on contemporary life.
As usual, I am happy to share my thoughts and fresh music with you, guys! Thanks for being here. Enjoy the music and stan with Ukraine! Peace <3
