Interbellum – Dreams of Rubble (2023)

Hi there! It’s only the beginning of a new week and May but I am already tired of my brain 🙂 You can stay calm, no metal today…today is a day of drone / ambient music. Here is Interbellum (Karl Mattar) — ambient folk / folk rock music artist from Beirut, Lebanon, and the track called “Dreams Of Rubble”. Let’s check it!

It’s not even a standalone track so to say. It’s more like an outro for the album called “Our House Is Very Beautiful at Night”, which is much clearly shows us ambient folk and folk rock genres. The composition is a bit short (for this genre, in my opinion) but pretty warm and meditative at the same time. It begins with repetitive waves of very blurry melody and rhythm and builds up with some distorted sound towards the end. I am not sure, how to describe ambient music to the listener, to be honest, but I will try to put my own feelings here.

It feels like I am floating in the middle of a slowly moving river of warm water. Some strange but harmless creatures looking at me from the forest on both sides of it. And my little boat slowly moved closer to the much more powerful flow. Anyways, it just accelerates me, and not giving any danger. Something like this 🙂

That’s all at the moment. Hope you like the music. Stay tuned for much more fresh and interesting music! Enjoy your week and stand with Ukraine! Peace <3
