Hi guys! It’s kinda weird even to me…but here is the third post in a row 🙂 Today I’d like to share with you Komorebi — alternative / electronic project from London, UK, and their track “Blackberries (feat. Instructions For Song)”. Let’s check it!
This track sounds like a mix of trip-hop, indie electronic, UK garage, and even a bit of acid jazz in some moments. The vocal timbre on the track is just angelic to me. Also, those short and pitched vocal chops…they’re adding some freshness to the mix.
The overall arrangement and vibe/mood of the track are calm and soft. Maybe I am wrong, but I hear some light Massive Attack and Sofa Surfers influences here. In general, this composition is perfect stuff to relax.
Btw, I’ve listened to the album “KS22” (this is the album this song is from), and I want to say that it’s an amazing work as well. Even though this track is not belong to the album stylistically. There are a lot of hip-hop numbers with wonderful beats, and nice old-school rapping. But I can’t say that the album is totally hip-hop. It’s more like a cocktail of genres based on the hip-hop vibes. Solid and interesting work for sure. Enjoy the music and stand with Ukraine! Peace <3
