Hello, friends! Autumn is always a slightly depressive period of the year. This time it’s way darker…of course, because of russia’s terroristic war against Ukraine. And today I am here with a fresh song “Consecration” by Oldest Sea — funeral doom / post-metal project from New Jersey, United States. Let’s check it closer!
First of all, this song perfectly fits my taste. I am a huge fan of heavy / dark / depressive / sad / etc.. music. So, this track is honey to my ears and brain. I also checked out other music by the artist on Spotify, and I like it a lot. Kinda mix of dark folk and doom / post metal music, which is pretty rare thing (at least in my experience). So, I strongly recommend to you do it as well 🙂
This particular track makes me feel like the end is always somewhere close and we are doomed (which is partially true for sure). I like the vocal part that drowned in the mix’s depth and blurry but still massive guitar riffs and melodies. It’s like a long dive into the dark post-metal world. Incredibly atmospheric song. Enjoy the music and stand with Ukraine! Peace <3
