Hello, guys! While fucking russian naZis bombing civilian Ukrainians, I am trying to do something. At least, to share fresh good music from around the world with all of you. Today here is Dawning — slowcore / shoegaze music band from USA / Germany, and their fresh song “Wading Heron”. Let’s check it!
First of all, the song is incredibly soft. Really, it sounds literally like a slow flow of water in a mountain stream. On the other hand, the overall mood of the track is pretty warm and chamber. Especially that little “mistake” at the beginning of the song…details like this make the music alive and much closer to the listener. I can close my eyes and see the band in the studio or on the stage in some little local club.
This song works like a psychotherapist session to me. Some dark thoughts left my head, and I am becoming much calmer and more balanced than before. Also, the last part of the song (with distorted guitars and solo part) for some reason pulls me into the ’90s. It’s not bad at all. I am just saying what I feel like when I am listening to it.
This song has everything to be a good song (as it is). Good overall sound, interesting and detailed arrangement, pleasant vocal manner, and pretty catchy vibe. What can I say…one more great artist to my huge collection. Hope you like it as well. Enjoy the music and stand with Ukraine! Peace <3
