Hello, my dear friends! Today I am here to share with you one very special album. I am really excited about it. Well, here is only one track, but I strongly encourage you to check the whole thing following THIS LINK, or the links below the post. Let’s dive into this song right away 😉
Here is Octopus Kraft — a post-metal band from Drohobych, Ukraine, and their latest album entitled “Null” (I mean, the song “Oblivion”, as a representation of the album). First of all, this album is not just a “one more” album for the Ukrainian metal scene, this is an example of what the Ukrainian metal scene able to do! If you are a fan of metal music in general, and post-metal particularly, then this album will blow your mind, I promise. You just need to listen to it from the beginning to the end to fully feel the atmosphere.
This certain track has a lot of details and genres mixed. I can hear in the song tastes of post-metal, sludge, math metal, ambient, post-rock, and…probably, something else, which I just can’t recognize. In any case, this song is perfectly balanced between the melody, chaos, light, and darkness. To be honest, I proud to be one of the first people who listened to this incredible, even delicate work (I mean the whole album “Null”). I am also proud to know a key figure in this band and to be able to call him a friend of mine, this is Yura Dubrovskyi. My deep respect, brother. Fun fact — if in thrash metal we have papa Het, then in Ukrainian post-metal we have a godfather Yura <3
This music just can’t leave you indifferent. It will definitely resonate with your soul and provoke emotions, thoughts, and feelings. I think, this is the main mission of music, which is perfectly done by Octopus Kraft in this release. One more time remind you — CHECK OUT THE WHOLE ALBUM RIGHT NOW! Enjoy the music. Peace.
